An anchor flange (AF) is a one-piece forged component that does not incorporate bolt holes. It is joined to two pipe sections by butt welding and then embedded in a concrete anchorage block, thereby converting axial thrust into soil pressure. No gaskets are required, nor is a specific bolting sequence necessary—only a robust anchor flange is needed to effectively prevent displacement of long-distance pipelines, subsea crossover pipelines, and bridge approach spans under temperature or pressure fluctuations.
